The company was founded in early 1988 The company started the trading activity of industrial pumps and its components manufactured by its family associates. Over the years under the guidance of founder Mr. Satish Patel & long years of technical expertise the company sold a huge variety of industrial pumps.

By 1998, the company got its first export order. In 2003 another member of the family Mrs. Sneha Patel decided to join hands and with her expertise and vocational skills, she started taking care of back office operations of the business.

In 2008, the company started manufacturing range of positive displacement pumps of various capacity by itself and was still trading some other variety of industrial pumps. With the growing demand, the company kept on growing at a steady rate and more and more money was invested in the R&D and more line was built thereon.

Around 2012, there was a major shift that took place. Quality and customer service being primary to the company values, the company closed its trading activity and started manufacturing the entire range of Industrial Pumps building one at a time and launched the s under its own brand name EXCEL.

New s kept on adding to its portfolio and the company felt the need to change the company name based on its brand name on which it was building its range. So, the company name was changed to Excel Pumps Pvt. Ltd. in 2015. Further accelerating the R&D functions, customization took place at a later stage and steadily portfolio grew to more than 200 s. In due course, in the year 2018, the company brand name got registered in the Indian Trademark Registry.

In 2023 Company management started to play a big game in REVERSE OSMOSIS SECTOR and concentrated on few untapped tailor-made pump-set market and started getting OEM orders which help Excel to grow and thrive towards greater heights with complete hands on operation over all the prospects of the business.

In 2024 Company plan to enter into tender business and cracked its first order worth Rs. 53 Lacs of his untapped market of HIGH PRESSURE JETTING PUMPS from ONGC
